Alan Mumby is a highly experienced Executive Recruiter with over 30+ years top-level CIO/CTO/CDO recruitment experience in the UK and internationally. He set up his own firm based out of Wiltshire, UK in 2017 and leverages today’s technology to transcend geography.

Alan was a Partner and Head of the UK Technology, Entertainment & Communications (TEC) Practice in Odgers Berndtson London for 13 years, preceded by 10 years at Whitehead Mann running the CIO team there.

Alan’s early career was spent in information technology in the automotive, financial services and retail sectors where he was a CIO. He became General Manager of a multimedia software consultancy in the 1990s, before moving to Executive Search in 1995.  As a Director of the multimedia software house Alan was in the team that produced the world’s first commercial digital sales application based on touchscreen technology and digital video. With technology now completely focussed on digital solutions, he is therefore in an outstanding position to appreciate the art of the possible and the skills required.

Alan was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford, where he obtained a Masters in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
